MOTIVATION/DEMOTIVATION ...
What makes people
tick and what makes them explode!
Motivation is a tricky business. Why? Because many
of us think that we can effectively motivate others. The
sad reality is that we often confuse "motivate" with
"manipulate." We assume that employees need something in
order to be motivated. And we assume that we are the
person to provide that motivation. And with good
intentions and best efforts, we try program after program...the
latest management "fad" of the month?
This
session will not give you a list of ten things to use to
motivate...or manipulate your employees, colleagues, bosses,
spouses or kids!
We
will talk about how an understanding three aspects of
personality types can help you understand those who work around
you in order to know how to manage, how to give instructions,
when to stay out of the way, how to lead, how to coach, how to
give feedback, how to recognize, and most importantly...how to
listen.
