Learn
how to differentiate instruction and
meet the demands of Response to
Intervention (RtI), in one fell
swoop! In this workshop,
participants will get an overview of
RtI, learn the history of
Differentiated Instruction (DI),
receive practical strategies, and
develop lessons that can be taken
directly back to the classroom.
A differentiated method, Layered
Curriculum, will be investigated,
and participants will have the
opportunity to create a
student-centered, fun unit using
this technique. This workshop will
provide tools so that meeting the
needs of all learners is possible.
Objectives:
-
To understand
components of RtI
-
To learn
differentiation philosophies and
the history behind DI
-
To explore
practical differentiated
strategies for the classroom
-
To create a
Layered Curriculum to meet the
needs of all learners
-
To gain knowledge of management
strategies for the
differentiated classroom
