BP-13 (Grades K-12)
High Impact Teaching

Don’t work harder, work smarter! Most teachers focus on teaching their content, but forget, or don’t know how, to deliver that information in ways students can remember it. If students can’t remember what you taught, are you really teaching it? Learn how current brain research can be applied to your area of expertise to maximize your students’ learning potential.

High Impact Teaching does not add new curriculum you have to squeeze into your already busy day. It helps teachers to refine their presentation skills so they can hold their students attention longer, give directions only once and end the day with more energy than their students. Most people are hesitant to take a class that covers a K-12 range. Don’t hesitate! This course WORKS for K-12, because the techniques are applicable to any subject and standard.

Discover the power of:

  • managing students’ attention spans and interest levels,

  • precise word choice,

  • using music,

  • memorable story telling,

  • novelty, and

  • effective directions.

In this workshop the key concepts of how the brain processes information are demonstrated, discussed and applied to what you are already doing. It’s an engaging, interactive and lively workshop-just like your classroom will be!

Participants will be able to deliver effective directions, use music as a classroom management tool to engage students, and use brain-based techniques to make content memorable.
