RUSTIC ART & DESIGN: PROJECT-BASED
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB ACTIVITIES
Dan Wilson, Tomahawk
Will_be@verizon.net
Project-based after school clubs are
a great opportunity for students and
adults to work side-by-side in a
relaxed inviting atmosphere that
encourages academic skill
development, problem solving and
decision making skills, imagination,
creativity and more. Giving
permission and encouragement to
create original works of art invites
students to communicate and express
to the world who they are.
Participants will select and create
a rustic wood project of their
choice. They will also
participate in discussions and be
provided with materials related to
the organization and administration
of an after school club to carry out
such projects. This totally
hands-on workshop will lead you
through the whole process of
selecting projects, tools, wood, and
construction techniques.
You'll build your own projects to
take back with you as examples for
your after school club.
Possible projects:

Bench |
