Are you in need of high interest
labs for your biology, chemistry, or
physics course? Whether you're
looking for just a few activities, a
complete unit, or an entire semester
course, this workshop is for you!
Criminalistics is the scientific
analysis of crime scene evidence for
the purpose of determining the guilt
or innocence of those suspected of
breaking the law.
Participants in the workshop will
examine a typical one semester
course and the activities involved,
survey books and videotapes related
to forensic science, and perform
experiments, all of which are
written as crime scene investigation
scenarios.
Topics will include physical
properties of glass and soil,
electrophoresis, microscopy,
analysis of human and animal hair,
drug testing, fingerprinting, too
mark and impression analysis, and
document examination. Workshop
participants will receive a lab
manual of activities.
