Looking for vibrant physical, mental
and social health? Try a
workshop on personal fitness and
stress management! Whatever your
starting ability level, whether you
want to energize your life, or the
lives of your students, this
workshop will help you and your
students move in the right
direction.
Focusing first on physical fitness,
you'll experience exciting and
enjoyable ways to boost your fitness
level including yoga, Pilates, Zumba
(Latin dance), orienteering (hiking
with a map and compass), geocaching
(using a GPS unit to move outdoors),
cardio kickboxing/interval training,
hip-hop cardio fitness, body
sculpting, and team building
energizers. Find what works
for you!
The second component of this
workshop will focus on ways to
identify and manage stress, as
participants learn effective ways
they and their students can deal
with stress. Guided relaxation
and practical relaxation techniques
will be explored. Participants
will learn how to incorporate these
activities into their existing
curriculum at ANY grade level.
Examples range form using yoga to
improve focus to helping athletes
with strengthening and stretching.
