ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR THE LOVE &
LOGIC CLASSROOM

This session follows the educator
training program entitled, 9
Essential Skills for the Love and
Logic Classroom developed at the
Love & Logic Institute by Jim Fay
and Dr. Charles Fay. The
program consists of nine separate
modules each teaches a different
subset of skills. Participants will
learn skills for creating classrooms
and school environments that:

Stimulate responsible
behavior and high levels of
academic achievement,
|
 |
Prevent misbehavior and
increase instructional time
on task,
|
 |
Avoid power struggles while
setting limits with
challenging students,
|
 |
Teach character and
responsibility through the
application of logical
consequences instead of
punishment,
|
 |
Develop positive,
cooperative relationships
with even the most difficult
students and their parents,
and
|
 |
Preserve the learning
environment when one or more
students become disruptive
and unresponsive to
preventative discipline.
