THE TRULY INTERACTIVE SMART BOARD:
Level I
INSTRUCTOR(S): Patricia Deibert,
Sheboygan Falls School District
GRADE LEVEL: K-12
CREDIT: 2
Extend your reach beyond the walls
of your classroom by using the SMART
Board, an interactive tool for
teaching and learning.
Participants in this course will
become familiar with different ways
to differentiate, accommodate and
motivate students.
Participants will explore how
existing software such as
Kidspiration, Inspiration,
PowerPoint, and Excel can be used in
conjunction with the SMART Board to
plan lessons that address learning
styles across the curriculum,
encouraging students to think about
several possible solutions.
Everything you always wanted to do
with your overhead projector to
teach Six-Traits Writing, but
couldn't, can be accomplished with
the unique tools of the SMART Board.
SMART Notebook can be used to design
interactive lessons to engage your
students. This dynamic tool
can also enhance resources found on
the Internet such as virtual
manipulatives. In addition,
participants will explore other
SMART technologies such as SMART
Number Cruncher, SMART Ideas, SMART
Speller, and Finale NotePad.
