IMPLEMENTING READING WORKSHOP IN THE
ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM

This course is designed to introduce
the components of reading workshop
while incorporating guided reading,
small group instruction and
comprehension strategies in the
elementary classroom.
Participants will gain an
understanding o the components of
reading workshop including the use
of the mini-lessons, conferring and
sharing while developing a plan for
implementing these aspects of the
workshop model to create a classroom
community of readers.
