TURN KIDS ON TO
WRITING--PERMANENTLY!
INSTRUCTOR: LAURIE HOLMQUIST,
EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT
GRADE LEVEL: 1-8
CREDIT: 1, 2 or 3
Participants will spend the week
learning how to craft writing
lessons using the 6+1 Traits method
of writing. All aspects of
writing will be covered as well as
how to reach the reluctant writer.
Participants will write themselves,
keeping a daily journal for the
week. A wide variety of the
newest and best titles in children's
literature will be available to use
in writing lessons, as well as for
enjoyment. If teaching writing
has been a chore, when participants
finish this class they will be
equipped to teach it with enthusiasm
and confidence - guaranteed!
