This workshop is designed to build
awareness and use of Measures of
Academic Progress (MAP) in a
classroom planning and instruction. Starting with an
introductory session, the week will
continue to build skills each day
leading to the use of M.A.P. in
planning differentiated instruction.
Day One:
Understand assessment and the
triangulation of data
Define Measures of Academic
Progress and the role it plays in
classroom instruction
Establish student "buy in" and
the role of active proctoring
Experience the test taking
process
Day Two:
Access MAP data reports online
Understand MAP vocabulary
Understand and Interpret MAP
reports
Day Three:
Review MAP reports
Utilize MAP reports to flexible
group
Day Four:
Understand the differentiated
classroom
Create data ladders using MAP
data
Use MAP reports and tools to
create differentiated lessons
Day Five:
Create lessons based on data and
delivered to meet the needs of
all learners
Putting it all together to
improve student achievement
