This class enables teachers, both
new and experienced, to plan
strategically so they can meet the
needs of each student in their
diverse classes. The focus is
on research-based processes and
practical techniques that teachers
can use to adjust learning based on
individual students' knowledge,
skills, experiences, preferences,
and needs.
Research cited by the National
Reading Panel informs us that
children who experience reading
difficulties must be helped to
acquire adequate skills in all five
components of reading instruction.
The focus of day two of this class
is on practical strategies for
differentiating the five essential
elements of reading instruction.
