TEACHING FOR LEARNING IN THE MIXED-ABILITY CLASSROOM
INSTRUCTOR(S): Linda Smejka,
Consultant
GRADE LEVEL: 3-12
Today's classroom is, of
necessity, student centered. The goal is to link learners
with the essential skills and understandings at appropriate
levels of challenge and interest while attending to the
Wisconsin content standards. This is a daunting task and
teachers are constantly seeking ways to improve their skills in
differentiating approaches through the content, processes or
products they use for effective instruction. Participants in
this workshop will study and experience a wide variety of topics
and materials on differentiation and will learn a systematic
approach to designing instruction that they can use in their
classrooms.
NOTE: This
workshop is for teachers with 2 or
more years of experience.
