As a participant in this workshop you will explore, through hands-on experience, how a variety of student-popular "gadgets" including Palm Handhelds, iPods, smartphone, small camcorders, Venier LabPro field computers, Garmin GPS units, and more can be used to enhance students' learning about the environment.  You'll also learn how to locate outstanding free or very inexpensive applications for these devices .  You'll learn how to find a subscribe to free podcasts that relate to the environment.  We will delve into how videoconferencing can be used to connect you and your students to experts as well as how it can be used to create classroom projects and collaborations.  This workshop will assist teachers of all grade levels to infuse technology into the teaching of environmental education.

NOTE: This workshop will be presented via interactive television with one site at Nicolet Area Technical College in Rhinelander and one site at Bayport High School in Green Bay.
