DIGITAL VIDEO & DVD CREATION FOR THE CLASSROOM

This workshop will introduce the concepts of digital video editing for the classroom.  We will explore and unlock the amazing abilities of video capture, audio overlays, transitions between clips, the value in removing extraneous footage, and experience the magic of transforming mundane raw footage into tightly edited works of art.  Come play in the digital playground and see what it's all about when mediocre is converted to sublime!  We will also explore photo slideshows and how still photos can be incorporated into video introductions.

Participants must be computer literate and comfortable with the basics of computer usage.  Participants must also provide their own digital video camera and an iLink (Firewire) cable connection.  This class will be taught on Macintosh computers using iMovie and iDVD.
