Orientation to
Mentoring: A Foundation Training for
all Wisconsin Mentors, is a two day
workshop which gives participants an
overview of PI34, the ten teacher
standards, the PDP, needs of
beginning teachers, observing and
conferencing, and linguistic skills
training such as active listening,
paraphrasing, clarifying, etc. This
training will support mentors in
their important role in working with
beginning teachers, regardless of
the local induction program. Each
mentor receives a certificate of
completion.
There are school
district reimbursements available
for the first 18 participants from
CESA #12 to register for this
workshop.
