MATH & LITERATURE WITH A TECH TWIST

Children's literature comes to life
when students connect their favorite
stories to hands-on math activities
and the tools of technology in the
classroom. Imagine how excited
your kids will be to interact with
SMARTboard lessons, create
Kidspiration projects, and share
podcasts about their favorite
characters and themes. We will
explore each strand of mathematics:
math processes, numbers, geometry,
measurement, algebra, and statistics
& probability using common trade
books, and then we'll see how to
integrate the use of technology into
each lesson. Participants will
learn to burn a CD and will receive
a flash drive on which to store
their projects. Beginners are
welcome!
