This workshop will give you an
opportunity to learn movement
activities and games that
incorporate classroom content to
help children learn. Imagine
classrooms, gyms and playgrounds
where there are no winners and
losers, no elimination and everyone
participates. Imagine having
more than 200 games in your bag of
tricks, ranging from games for
individuals and partners to whole
classrooms and everything in
between.
The focus of this workshop is that
learning and movement are fun, and
games can be valuable instructional
practice! By using games and
activities, you will create
physically active scenarios that
enhance learning in the K-5
classroom, ranging from teaching
behaviors to teaching content
skills.
Easily used by physical education
teachers, contained classroom
teachers, multiage teachers and
paraprofessionals, this format
addresses the cognitive development
of all young learners and
specifically the needs of
kinesthetic learners.
